The effect of thymidine 5′-diphosphate on I Cl in NIH 3T3 fibroblasts

(a) Thymidine 5′-diphosphate (TDP) added to the extracellular fluid is without significant effect on ICl at concentrations up to 100 µM (the insert depicts the molecular structure of the compound used). (b) Addition of 100 µM AZT on top of 100 µM TDP only scarcely reduces ICl. However, after washing out the TDP-AZT mixture, addition of 100 µM AZT markedly reduces ICl (n = 6).
