  1. Mice were treated with LPS (80 µg/kg, i.V.), sCNTFRα (20 µg/mouse i.v., along with CNTF) and CNTF (10 µg/mouse i.v., simultaneously with LPS). CS was measured 2 hr and SAA 24 hr after treatment. Data are mean ± SD (five mice/group) from a representative experiment.
