IL-1-induced HIV-1 p24 antigen production is concentration dependent

Ul cells were cultured with increasing concentrations of IL-1α () or IL-1β (). After 24 hr cells were lysed with Triton X-100. An ELISA was performed to determine the total concentration of p24 antigen. Each data point depicts the mean ± SD of four samples. *p < 0.05; p ≤ 0.01; and §p ≤ 0.001 when comparing U1 cells stimulated with IL-1 with unstimulated cells, p < 0.001 using analysis of variance.
