PAI-1 mRNA expression in cell fractionated adipose tissue from lean (+/?) and obese (ob/ob) mice
Epididymal fat pads were isolated from 8- to 10-week old male lean (□) and obese (■) mice. Adipocytes, and stromal vascular cells were separated by collagenase digestion followed by differential centrifugation. Total RNA was extracted from each fraction and PAI-1 mRNA levels were then quantified by RT-PCR. Bars, the mean ± SD of three independent experiments.
