LXA4 16.3 ± 5.2 NS
15-epi-LXA4 20.1 ± 1.9 <0.025

  1. Cells (2000 A549 cells/well) were grown in 96-well plates and exposed to vehicle (0.15% v/v in EtOH/F-12K media) or equimolar concentrations (10−7 M) of LXA4, 15-epi-LXA4, LXB4, 15-epi-LXB4, or dexamethasone for 72 hr at 37°C. Values represent mean ± SEM from three to seven experiments performed in quadruplicate and are expressed as percentage inhibition of cell growth.
  2. ap values denote statistical differences compared with cells alone.
  3. bp < 0.001 for 15-epi-LXB4 compared with LXB4.
