IL-4 receptor mRNA expression in AIDS-KS cells

Total RNA (10 µg) from KS248 and NCB-59 (A) were subjected to Northern analysis by using 1% agarose gel and transferred to the membrane as discussed in Materials and Methods. The membrane was probed with 32P-labeled IL-4R p140 insert cDNA and autoradiographed. (B) RT-PCR analysis of products amplified with IL-4R-specific primers. AIDS-KS mRNA were reverse transcribed to cDNA and subjected to PCR analysis using specific IL-4Rβ and IL-2R γc primers as outlined in Materials and Methods. The PCR products were run on Nusieve 3:1 gel and stained with ethidium bromide for UV analysis. EBV-immortalized B (EBV-B) cell cDNA was used as a positive control for both PCRs.
