(B) Darkfield examination shows silver grains distributed over endothelial cells. Higher magnification examination shows the silver grains on the endothelial cells in (C) Bright-field and (D) Darkfield. (E) A nearby slide stained by cytokeratin antibody. Strong staining is seen in trophoblast (epithelial) cells. Endothelial cells show no staining. The specificity of hybridization was examined by hybridization of Tie2 sense probe in a serial section (F). Scale bar, 50 µm for A, B, E, F and 25 µm for C, D.
