From: Activator Protein-1 Mediates Induced but not Basal Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Gene Expression
EGFR promoter activity is increased by c-Jun in cotransfection assays. MCF-7 cells were transfected with 0.1 µg of reporter construct and increasing amounts of c-Jun. Luciferase activity was measured 24 hr post-transfection and is expressed relative to cells transfected with the empty vector. Luciferase activity was corrected for protein concentration and transfection efficiency using a RSV-β-galactosidase reporter.
