One thousand CAEC were seeded on top of each well in a NeuroProbe chamber (8 µm pore diameter) with each tested chemokine, RANTES (A), MIP-1α (B), or MIP-1β (C), at the indicated concentration in the lower chamber. The endothelia were allowed to migrate for 48 hr, then the filter was removed and the cells on the top of each well were scraped. After staining by crystal violet, the transmigrated cells on the lower surface of each well were determined by a microscopic count as described in Materials and Methods.Back to article page
