Thioflavin T assay. Studies on IAPP fibril formation in the presence of myristic acid, oleic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, and linoleic acid (all at 125 µM), measured over 24 hr. AFU, arbitrary fluorescent units. The results are mean values of eight individual samples from one representative run. The assay was repeated three times as independent experiments, all with the same result.
