Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assay with Human/Rodent Somatic Cell Hybrid Panel #2

PCR products were run on 2% agarose gel stained with ethidium bromide. The expected size band appeared only with human chromosome 5, indicated by the arrow. Controls for the mapping panel appear in the lower three right lanes. An identically sized band to that with chromosome 5 appears in the Lane H, representing human cell line IMR91 DNA (positive control). M, DNA from mouse line 3T6, C, represents Chinese hamster line RJK88 DNA. The lane labeled H2O is a negative control lane with water in place of template in the reaction mix.
