  1. aEighty thousand hepatocytes plated in 24-well plates in 200 µl of medium were pretreated with 5 mM GalN or saline for 30 min, before they were challenged with 100 ng/ml anti-CD95 or solvent control. After 6 hr, cells were lysed. Low molecular weight DNA was prepared by centrifugation and subsequently analysed in an ELISA determining the amount of cytosolic oligonucleosomal DNA.
