Effect of melatonin on the vertebral (L1) microstructure of osteoporosis (OP) model mice. a Micro-CT detection after the administration of melatonin or alendronate. Images of 2D and 3D reconstruction obtained by micro-CT showed that the model group had reduced the number of vertebral trabeculae. Microstructure parameters of BV/TV (b), Tb. Th (c), Tb. N (d), and Tb. Sp (e) were improved in melatonin-treated mice.
