rhMFG-E8 reduces systemic inflammation and bacteremia in CLP after acute alcohol exposure. Levels of (a) serum TNF-α, (b) serum IL-6, and (c) serum endotoxin were increased rats subjected to CLP and treated with vehicle (human albumin) compared with sham surgery, and lower in rats subjected to CLP and treated with rhMFG-E8.
