  1. Two sections of each liver specimen were observed and three views of each section were analysed. Therefore, each group had 48 views (8 rats × 2 sections × 3 views) in total. We calculated the view number distributed in grading NAFLD activity scores (NASs) according to the following categories: steatosis (0–3), lobular inflammation (0–3) and ballooning degeneration (0–2).
