From: Characterisation of cold-induced mitochondrial fission in porcine aortic endothelial cells

Fig. 7

Immunofluorescene for Drp1 localisation under hypothermic conditions. Drp1 localization was assessed using a Drp1 antibody and a FITC-labelled secondary antibody (AE, green) in porcine aortic endothelial cells that had been stained with MitoTracker Red to show mitochondria (FJ, red). Merged images show cells (control cells, K) after cold incubation for 3 h (L), 6 h (M) and 24 h (N) and a staining without Drp1 antibody (only secondary antibody) as negative control (E, J, O). The images were documented by fluorescence microscopy (MitoTracker Red: λexc. = 546 ± 6 nm, λem. ≥ 590 nm; FITC: λexc. = 470 ± 20 nm, λem. = 525 ± 25 nm). Representative figures of n = 4 experiments
