The values obtained assume as 100 the untreated level for N-SP cells. Similar results were seen in 4 separate experiments for each of the 4 patients; each experiment was performed in quadruplicate. The results are analyzed by paired Student t test. Untreated CLP-SP vs. untreated N-SP fibroblasts: ‡P < 0.001; treated vs untreated cells: *P < 0.01.
