Rac1 phosphorylated p38 levels are elevated in papilloma tissues in vivo. (A) Extracts from normal laryngeal epithelium and respiratory Papillomas were analyzed by Western blot for Rac1 and both phosphorylated and total p38. Bar graphs are mean ± SD of seven normal tissues and eight papillomas, normalized to levels of β-actin and expressed relative to levels in normal tissue (*P < 0.01). (B) Immunohistochemical stain of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded normal laryngeal epithelium and papilloma tissues, using anti-Rac1 or anti-phospho-p38 antibodies.
