Reactivity of representative sera against the RRM-related epitope 145–164 and the major epitope 349–364 of La/SSB (A) as well as against U1-RNP and La/SSB autoantigens (B). The existence of anti-pep145–164 without anti-pep349–364 antibodies is a feature found exclusively in anti-RNP-positive (+) sera. Anti-La (+) sera can contain either anti-pep349–364 alone or anti-pep349–364 accompanied by anti-pep145–164 antibodies.
