Protein synthesis is required for PDZK1 expression upon E2 stimulation in MCF-7 cells. (A) MCF-7 cells were treated with 1 nmol/L E2 in the presence or absence of the protein synthesis inhibitor cycloheximide (CHX) for 24 h. Total RNA was subjected to RT-PCR with primers specific to PDZK1 or β-actin. (B) Diagram of cell treatment with CHX and E2 for the results depicted in (C). (C) MCF-7 cells were treated with 1 nmol/L E2 followed by the addition of CHX 3, 6 or 12 h after treatment with E2 as illustrated in (B). Total RNA was prepared 24 h after E2 treatment and subjected to RT-PCR with primers specific to PDZK1or β-actin.
