Effect of RSVA314 and RSVA405 treatment on 3T3-L1 adipocyte differentiation. (A) Structure of RSVA314 and RSVA405 drawn using Marvin applet. (B) 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were treated for 24 h with the indicated concentrations of RSVAs. Phospho-AMPK, total AMPK, phospho-ACC and total ACC protein levels were assessed by Western blotting. (C, D) 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were treated during differentiation with the indicated concentrations of RSVAs or resveratrol (RSV). Undifferentiated 3T3-L1 cells on day 0 were used as control (undifferentiated). On day 8, cells were stained with Oil Red O and photographed (C). Lipid content in these cells was quantified using isopropanol extraction and absorbance measurement at 510 nm (D).
