Role of p38 and PI 3-kinase in IL-1β-induced hyperalgesia. Mice were injected intraplantarly with the p38 inhibitor SB239063 (A) or the PI 3-kinase inhibitor LY249002 (B) 20 min before intraplantar injection of IL-1β (100 pg/paw; n = 4) or before saline (C). Heat withdrawal latencies were determined over time. All data are expressed as mean ± SEM. GRK6−/−, IL-1β + vehicle, versus GRK6−/−, IL-1β + inhibitor: *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001.
