Better protection in IL-10 KO mice after Cm infection is virtually abolished by in vivo neutralization of IL-17A. WT and IL-10 KO mice were infected i.n. with Cm (1 × 103 IFUs). At 2 h after infection, some IL-10 KO mice were administered i.n. with 10 µg anti-mouse IL-17A mAbs. The same antibody treatment was given at d 2 and 4 after infection. (A) Mice were monitored daily for body weight change. The original body weights of the different groups of mice were similar. Mice were killed on d 7 after infection, and the bacterial loads in the lung were analysis as described in Materials and Methods. Data are shown as the mean ± SD for each group(n = 4). **p < 0.01.
