ELISA assay for markers of intestinal injury in control (Sham) and BDL rats in the absence or presence of HO-1 activators. (A) serum endotoxin; (B) serum D-Lac; (C) serum DAO. Serum endotoxin, D-Lac and DAO were significantly increased in the BDL group compared with the Sham group, *P < 0.05. CORM-2 or CoPP treatment decreased the levels of endotoxin and D-Lac, #P < 0.05, ##P < 0.01 compared with the BDL group.
