Representative micrographs of the hGR α (top) and hGR α (bottom) immunofluorescence analyses in HeLa cells

The subcellular distribution of GRα and GRβ are shown prior to (A) and after 15 (B), 30 (C), 60 (D), and 120 (E) min of incubation with 10−7 M dexamethasone. The cells were fixed with 4% buffered paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.2% Triton X-100, and processed for immunocytochemical detection, as described in Materials and Methods. In the bottom panels (F), no primary antibody was employed. Magnification: 400×.
