A kinetic study of nNOS. The effect of L-Arg and L-Cit on NOS activity was estimated. Cellular extract of NB9 was treated with various concentrations of radiolabeled L-Arg and the formation of radiolabeled L-Cit was estimated by scintillation counter as described in Materials and Methods. The formation of L-Cit was expressed as pmol/106 cells. The effect of L-Cit on NOS activity was also estimated.
