Fig. 2

Representative multiplex PCR analysis of the CDR3 length assay on CD8+ (A) and CD4+ (B) T cell subsets. Lanes A–L correspond to the following sets of TCR Vβ primers from the lower to higher groups of bands: A: Vβ 1, 18, 23; B: Vβ 2, 4, 8; C: Vβ 3, 13.1; D: Vβ 5.2, 5.1; E: Vβ 6, 20; F: Vβ 7, 22; G: Vβ 9, 16; H: Vβ 11, 12; I: Vβ 15, 13.2; J: Vβ 14, 17; K: Vβ 10, 24; L: Vβ 21. Note that there is a dropout of some Vβ families seen in Figure 2A and B. Note that Vβ 18, 23, 2, 24 are not expressed in this individual (lanes A, B, K). Additionally, there are other Vβ families that are not detected in the CD8+ T cell subset. This is not uncommon in the setting of an extensively skewed CD8 repertoire.
