Mucin identification by dot-blot staining with 3G12 mucin monoclonal antibody (15,19).

The material extracted from gastric mucosal membranes (11) before SDS-PAGE (lane 1), the purified rat gastric mucin (lane 2), and the mucin extracted from the SDS-PAGE samples shown in Figure 4A, lanes 4–6 was applied in Figure 5, lanes 3–5, respectively. The numbers on the left represent amount of material applied; 5 µl (1), 10 µl (2), and 20 µl (4) per dot.
