Western blot analysis using a patient serum obtained at the second occasion and cellular localization of the 66 kDa protein. Protein extracts were separated by 10% polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and then incubated with patient serum obtained at the first (f) and the second (s) occasion. Both sera were used at a dilution of 1/1000. To determine the cellular localization of the 66 kDa protein, subcellular fractionations were prepared as described in Materials and Methods and analyzed by Western blotting. N, nuclear proteins; c, cytosolic proteins; and m, membrane proteins.
