Regulation of eGFP expression in different cell lines. Nontransfected cells and cells transfected either with an empty vector, pcDNA3.1(−) (only background data from Vero cells is exemplified) or with the 1Pc or 1Pi plasmids were analyzed by FACS analysis 48 hr posttransfection to determine eGFP expression in different cell lines in the absence (striped bars) or presence (black bars) of 1 µg/ml Tc. Differences in mean fluorescence between samples (n = 3) were less than 5%.
