HIV-1 pol reverse transcription in CAEC. Two hundred fifty thousand CAEC in a 6-well plate were infected with HIV-1LAI at the multiplicity of 2000 copies per cell. PCR lysates prepared at the indicated times PI were amplified using pol primers and were detected using the pol probe. The dilutions of 8E5/LAI cells and lysates of infected CEM cells were amplified with the same set of pol primers.
