Degradation of I-κB in AM from smokers and nonsmokers. AM from smokers and nonsmokers were incubated without (—) or with LPS (1 µg/mL) (+) for 0 min to 6 hr. Cytoplasmic extracts were assessed for degradation of I-κB by Western blot analysis. Representative data from one smoker (upper panel) and one nonsmoker (lower panel) are shown.
