Schematic representation of the human SPR1 promoter with putative transcription factor binding sites (top). CAT constructs containing the −619 to +15 of the SPR1 promoter or 5′-deletions were inserted into the promoterless reporter vector pKT. The putative transcription start site is numbered +1. Numbers corresponding to the 5′-end of the TATA box, the AP-1 binding site, and a putative cAMP-responsive element (CRE) in the SPR1 5′-flanking region are shown (top). The location of the 5′-end of each construct in the human SPR1 promoter is indicated in numbers (bottom).
