Induction of the transcriptional activity of the SPR1 promoter by UV irradiation. Twenty-four hours after transfection, cells were irradiated with short-UV light at 17J/M2. CAT activity was measured 9 and 32 hr after UV irradiation. Extracts were normalized for β-Gal activity. Values for both irradiated cells and non-irradiated controls are typical of triplicate experiments.
