Effect of peptide on splenic HO activity after in vivo treatment. Splenic HO activity was measured 24, 48, and 72 hr following injection of the indicated amounts of peptide RDP1258. HO activity in peptide-treated animals (n = 3) was compared to mannitol-treated animals (n = 3) and is expressed as % of control. HO activity in manitol-treated control animals was 3.081 ± 0.051 nmol/mg/min.
