Effect of antisense suppression of Prx isoforms on sensitivity of PC3 cells to agents other than hydroperoxides. Survival of the parental cells PC3 and transfectants after incubation in the indicated concentrations of (A) adriamycin or (B) paclitaxel (0.02 mM) for 24 hr, etoposide (0.01 mM) for 72 hr, or TNF (25 ng/ml), DETA NONOate (0.5 mM), or S-nitrosoglutathione (GSNO) (1.25 mM) for 48 hr. Means ± SD from quadruplicates in one experiment representative of at least two performed.
