Effects of various agents on expression of adhesion molecules. HUVECs were cultivated in fresh medium containing the indicated concentrations of aspirin (A), CyA (B), and indomethacin (C) in the presence or absence of TNF-α (10 ng/ml) for 6 hr. Northern blots were performed with total RNA. Only aspirin shows an inhibitory effect on the expression of adhesion molecules. GAPDH was used to standardize the RNA amount. The autoradiograph is a representative example of three experiments.
