Potential novel mechanism of COE in hyperlipidemia treatment. COE promotes the interaction between leptin and OB-Rb, which induces phosphorylation of JAK2 and STAT3. On the one hand, the activation of the JAK2/STAT3 pathway elevates antioxidase activities and improves liver function. On the other hand, phosphorylation of STAT3 regulates lipid metabolism based on CAP7A1 elevation and HMGCR reduction, finally alleviating hyperlipidemia in rats. ↑: increase, ↓: decrease
