Inhibition of terminal fucosylation ameliorates renal fibrosis severity via EMT in HK-2 cells

HK-2 were stimulated 2-D-gal (0.6, 1.2, 2.4 mM) and/or TGF-β1 for 24 or 48 h. (A) Cell viability was determined by CCK-8 assay. (B) The level of terminal fucosylation was evaluated in HK-2. (C) The morphology of HK-2. (D) The protein level of fibrosis-related molecules in HK-2 was analyzed by western blotting. (E) The mRNA level of fibrosis-related molecules in HK-2 was analyzed by qPCR. (F) The protein level of EMT-related molecules in HK-2 was analyzed by western blotting. (G) The ability of migration was examined in treated HK-2 by cell migration assay.
