Glycyrrhizin treatment induces autophagy in H. pylori-infected mice and ameliorates gastric tissue damage (a–c) C57BL/6 mice (n = 5 per group) were treated with antibiotics every 7 days. Then after 7 days incubation period, mice were infected with the H. pylori SS1 strain thrice a week on alternate days. Mice were incubated for 14 days and then administered with or without glycyrrhizin GLZ (10 mg /kg body weight), every day for 4 weeks. After treatment mice were sacrificed, and gastric tissues and serum were collected. a Immunoblot showing the expression of HMGB1 and autophagy proteins (HMGB1, P62, LAMP1) of mouse gastric tissues. α-tubulin was used as a protein loading control.
