Fig. 5

Functional assays on HUVECs. The effect of MenSC secretomes in the different conditions of the study (Normoxia [N] and Acute Hypoxia [AH]) on HUVEC cells. For the whole figure: negative control (Control -) in white, the treatment with secretome derived from normoxic MenSCs (N/S-MenSCs) in light grey, the treatment with secretome derived from acute hypoxic MenSCs (AH/S-MenSCs) in dark grey, and positive control (Control +) in black. Control -: M199 medium + 1% FBS (starving condition). N/S- and AH/S-MenSCs: M199 medium + 1% FBS + secretome treatment (100 µg/ml). Control + : EGM-2 medium. A Relative proliferation of HUVECs during 24 h with respect to their initial confluence. B Percentage of wound closure. C Migration of HUVECs. D Length of the tube formed in mm. Analysis: One-way ANOVA and Tukey’s multiple comparisons tests. Bar graphs show average values, error bars: SEM. Asterisks indicate statistically significant differences: *p < .05, **p < .005, *** p < .0005
