A30P-aSyn-O-induced synaptic loss in primary dopaminergic neurons is mediated by calcineurin. Primary mouse midbrain dopaminergic neurons were treated with 5 µM of aSyn monomers or oligomers in the absence or in the presence of 2 µM of CsA for 24 h. Cells were immuno-stained with anti-MAP2 and anti-synapsin 1 antibodies (A). The number of synapses in each condition was evaluated by counting synaptic puncta (B).
