(A): Results of TUNEL staining showed that L-BAIBA inhibited I/R-induced cell apoptosis. The experiment was repeated 5 times, and representative images are shown (n = 5). (B-D): Serum concentrations of interleukin-1β (IL-1β) (B), IL-6 (C), and TNF-α (D) were measured by ELISA (n = 5). (E): MPO activity in lungs was measured by commercially available kits (n = 5). Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used for normality test. ANOVA was used for statistical analysis and Tamhane test (A, B, C, and E) or LSD (D) was used for post hoc analysis).
