Wild type (C57Bl/6; 7 per time point) and CD14−/− (5 per time point) mice were subjected to cannulation or hemorrhagic shock as described in “Materials and Methods.” Predicted organ damage/dysfunction (A) is shown for the baseline model inflammation (9) (black bars) and the CD14−/−-specific ensemble of 5 models (open bars; output of 5 models shown as mean ± SEM). Plasma ALT levels (B) were measured as described in “Materials and Methods” and are shown as mean ± SEM.
