Vibrissae-stimulated limb placing test results indicate that both CEPO- and saline-treated animals exhibited an acute decline in correct responses (both forelimbs extending to table edge after ipsilateral or contralateral vibrissae stimulation) immediately after irradiation. Saline-administered animals recovered only partially, reaching a plateau and then declining. In contrast, this reflex normalized in animals that received CEPO. P < 0.05 between groups; 6 animals per group.
