CGRP immunolocalization at various distances from the lesion 3 months after the transplantation, indicating the lack of changes in the classical distribution of CGRP-positive immunolabeling of the dorsal horn at the margins of the lesion site in the cord of NSC-treated mice compared with more rostral or caudal sections outside the injury. CGRP-positive cells are shown in red; the transplanted GFP cells are shown in green; DAPI staining of the nuclei is indicated in blue. Comparing the rostral (B) and caudal (D) section to the section corresponding to the lesion (C), we can see a strong reduction of CGRP staining. Scale bar 10 µm.
