  1. The model included CVD as the dependent variable and all factors significantly associated with the dependent variable in univariate analysis. Inflamed patients were defined as those with IL-6 >4.3 pg/mL (median), and high MIF was defined as those with >676 pg/mL (median); Pseudo r2 = 0.22; P < 0.001; ages 20–49. Non-inflamed patients with low MIF were considered reference groups.
