  1. aMultiple linear regression analysis with the calculated BChE activity as the dependent variable. A predictive model was derived by stepwise linear regression analysis. The following independent variables were assessed: age, gender, BMI, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, current smoking, NIHSS and BChE-K genotype. Only those variables with a P value of < 0.05 were included in the final fitted model.
