CD11b+ B1 cells are not the same as CD24hiCD38hi or CD24hiCD27+ cells. Adult peripheral blood mononuclear cells were immunofluorescently stained for surface CD3, CD20, CD27, CD43, CD11b, CD24 and CD38. (A) CD3−CD20+ cells are displayed on a CD24 by CD38 dot plot. (B) CD3−CD20+ cells are displayed on a CD24 by CD38 dot plot in gray with CD11b+ B1 cells (CD3−CD20+CD27+CD43+CD11b+) (B1-11b+) overlayed in red. (C) CD3−CD20+ cells are displayed on a CD27 by CD24 contour plot. (D) CD3−CD20+ cells are displayed on a CD27 by CD24 contour plot in gray with CD11b+ B1 cells (CD3−CD20+ CD27+CD43+CD11b+) (B1-11b+) overlayed in red.
