Myofibroblast migration is downregulated upon inhibition of miR-145. Skin fibroblasts were stimulated with TGF-β1 for 24 h and then treated with a specific miR-145 inhibitor. A nonspecific Anti-miR was used as control (mock). At 48 h after transfection, a linear defect was produced in a confluent fibroblast monolayer. After 72 h, closure of the wound area was examined by light microscopy. Representative pictures (white bar: 200 µm) (A) and counts of cells that migrated into the wound area (B) are shown. Graphs show mean ± SD (n = 4, *p < 0.05).
